Born in Austin, Texas, Julian Diaz-Granados is a multi-talented performer who has toured the United States and abroad entertaining hundreds of thousands over the course of his career. He attended Oklahoma City University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre studying voice under Prof. Brenda Holleman. After moving to NYC, he quickly joined the National Tour of "Junie B. Jones" as Herb. Afterward, he’d travel the world as a vocalist onboard Holland America's ms Koningsdam and ms Oosterdam. He was also a part of the NYC concert series "Inside Broadway" celebrating Bernstein's centennial singing as Tony in "West Side Story", the Celebrant in "Bernstein's Mass", and several others.
He made his Broadway debut in 2018 playing Himself in “Ruben and Clay’s Christmas Show”. Not long after this, he originated the role of Timmy in “Just Laugh”, which premiered at the Rave Theater Festival in NYC taking home the award for Best Musical. He then went on to join the 1st National Tour of “Dear Evan Hansen” as the Connor/Jared swing before joining the Broadway cast in the same role. Other favorite Regional credits include Jack Kelly in “Newsies”, Nick Bottom in “Something Rotten”, and Jason in “Ordinary Days”. You can also find him frequently performing at cabarets and concerts at NYC venues, 54Below and Greenroom 42. Recent concerts included “Morgan Reilly: Thirty and Thriving“, “Gollem Owned a Tropic Smoothie”, and “Open This Pit Up”.
He was most recently seen originating the role of Timmy in the Off-Broadway premiere of “I Love My Family, But…” at the Soho Playhouse.
He’s a proud member of the Actor's Equity Association and is represented by Ellery Sandhu of The Mine Agency.
